The University of Twente and the OLVG, MST, and ZGT hospitals launched the PredEx study where 40-60 volunteering COPD patients will record their breathing pattern daily twice a day at home. The objective is to compare the recorded breathing patterns to the historic events such as the administering of prednison and or antibiuotics and the admittence and discharge to hospitals. The outcomes will support the prevention of harmful COPD exacerbations and costly hospitalisations in the future.

We are happy and proud to announce that an article written by researchers of the University of Twente (UT) and the University Medical Center of Groningen (UMCG), in which the relation between our tidal breathing monitoring technique and convential spirometry is investigated, will appear in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Medical Engineering and Physics.
